Greg Douglas has been the Chief Executive officer of the Cannabis Licensing Authority since April 2017.The Cannabis Licensing Authority is an agency of Government mandated to develop a legal, regulated and sustainable Medical Ganja and Hemp industry in Jamaica.
Mr. Douglas holds a B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science from the Florida International University, has trained in India under the former ITEC Scholarship and is a certified Project Manager, having held senior positions in both government and private sector.
Mr. Douglas entered the Cannabis space while at the Bureau of Standards Jamaica as the designated Project Coordinator for a proposed Seed to Sale Pilot Project, and has presented on Standards applicable for immediate use in the local regulated industry.
Active in the space Mr. Douglas has met and continues to interact with stakeholders as he believes it is only through private and public sector partnerships that Jamaica can leverage its brand successfully.
