CanEx Launches Capital Connection for Cannabis Entrepreneurs
Platform to facilitate connections between Entrepreneurs and Global Investors

[Montego Bay, Jamaica. September 10, 2020]. CanEx Jamaica announces launch of new global investment platform.

In light of the current covid-19 pandemic that has disrupted and impacted the lives and livelihood of millions of people worldwide, CanEx Jamaica took the difficult, but necessary, decision to postpone the fifth staging of the CanEx Jamaica Business Conference and Expo which was scheduled for September 24-26, 2020 at the Montego Bay Convention Center.

CanEx Jamaica has recognised the need for cannabis entrepreneurs in the region to network and promote their new or growing businesses and to connect with investors. It is with this need in mind that CanEx Jamaica has decided to bring forward the launch of its Capital Connection platform. “We have been working on this idea for some time. Given the disruption of the past few months and the direct impact to businesses and their efforts to raise capital we felt strongly that this was the right time to launch the platform” stated CanEx Founder, Douglas K. Gordon.

CanEx has also partnered with Ridgetop Finance to offer businesses access to financing for equipment purchases, including lighting. Ridgetop were title sponsors in 2019 and have expanded the relationship with the company as they hosted the CanEx Investment Summits in Toronto, New York and London. The comprehensive financing solution offered by Ridgetop is a unique offering which has been deployed in Canada and in a number of other markets internationally.

CanEx Capital Connection (CCC) is a global platform, focused primarily in the Caribbean and Latin American region that allows individuals, in the cannabis and hemp industry, both plant touching as well as ancillary businesses, to list their investment opportunities and offers an efficient way for investors to access these opportunities. The platform connects prospective investors with companies seeking capital so that they can directly present their opportunity and control the process. Growing businesses will find great value through the CanEx Capital Connection platform and can visit www.canexjamaica.com/cc to get a better understanding of the platform and how it works for entrepreneurs and investors.

The postponement of CanEx Jamaica 2020 has left a deficit in the cannabis industry for viable networking and educational platforms. CanEx has moved to fill this void with an ongoing webinar series covering a number of topics from Cultivation and Investment to Psychedelics and Social Impact Investing. The Webinar Series is free to register and attend and is being provided through support from sponsors, led by title partner, Ridgetop Lighting. This company recently held the Investing in Cannabis webinar which and featured a high powered panel of finance experts, including Matthew K. Nordgren – Founder and Managing Partner of Arcadian Capital Partners, Barrington Miller – Director, Listed Company Services of the Canadian Securities Exchange, William Muecke- Co Founding Managing Member of Artemis Growth Partners LLC , Wayne V.
