Dr. Jerrol Thompson is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the newly established Medicinal Cannabis Regulatory Authority (MCA) of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, a new emerging industry. He has helped guide the establishment of the MCA as a strong, functional regulatory authority and the development of banking, seed to sale and patient access and export regulations.

Dr. Thompson has featured on panels in Kazakhstan, London, Toronto and other Caribbean islands.

Director of Special Projects and Advisor to the Prime Minister: Jan 2011 to Dec. 2019 Advisor to Dr. Ralph E. Gonsalves on ICT, Renewable Energy, Geothermal Energy, and other Special Projects. He was the principle advisor to the Government and Ministry of Agriculture Forestry & Fisheries on the establishment of the Medical Cannabis Industry Development Project & Medicinal Cannabis legislation 2017.

Dr. Thompson is the host of a weekly interactive radio health show, Your Health Matters and is Chairman of the Mangrove Conservation Foundation promoting conservation of Biodiversity, of the White Mangrove Forest and medicinal plants on St. Vincent & the Grenadines
