Marketing Assistant

THE ROLE

We are seeking a dynamic, ambitious, self-motivated and organized marketing professional to join our team. Our Events team produces top-notch B2B and B2C events in Jamaica and overseas. The selected individual will play a key role in coordinating events and marketing efforts. They should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment that calls for experience and expertise but also a desire to grow and learn as the company expands.

 

To be chosen for this role, you should have a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field OR a minimum of 3 years work experience in a related capacity. Effective written and verbal communication skills with working knowledge of web, social media, PowerPoint, Word and Excel required.  Attention to detail is a must. This position is based in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

-Coordinating company conferences, expos, summits and major events

-Understanding company product and brand

-Creating and interpreting a variety of reports

-Support in the distribution or delivery of marketing materials

-Developing marketing campaigns

-Coordinating timely delivery of promotional items

-Employ marketing analytics techniques to gather important data (social media, web analytics, rankings etc.)

-Perform analysis of marketing and sales data

-Seek and analyze competitor marketing and sales materials both on and offline

-Prepare presentations and sponsorship proposals

-Manage attendee information

-Updating social media accounts

-Maintain tracking report of public relations activity

-Supporting sales and lead generation efforts

-Other related duties as arise

REQUIREMENTS

-Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field or 3 years working experience in a related capacity (Marketing, MICE, Hospitality, Events Management)

-Effective written and verbal communication skills

-Extensive knowledge of Web and social media

-A high level of attention to detail

-Ability to work effectively within a team and independently

-Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook

-Good organization skills
