BARBARA BLAKE-HANNAH, O.D. Jamaican journalist, author, film maker and cultural consultant on topics of Rastafari, Black history, homeschooling and film. The first Black current affairs reporter on British TV, 1968. Independent Senator, Jamaican Parliament 1984-87. AWARDS: United Nations Peace Medal (1974), Ethiopian Crown Council Adowa Centenary Gold Medal (1997), U.N.I.A. Lifetime Achievement Award – 2018; Hampton Girls School 160th Anniversary Achievement Award – 2018; Jamaican Order of Distinction in 2018. She serves as Cultural Liaison at the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment & Sport and Board Member, Cannabis Licensing Authority (C.L.A.).
