W. Anthony “Tony” Lee Kong is an entrepreneur whose expertise is with start- ups and assisting organisations reach their full potential. He started his career in the telecommunication sector with Telecommunication Service of Trinidad & Tobago (TSTT) before creating regional ICT company CommNett Caribbean Limited, headquartered in Trinidad with offices in Jamaica and Barbados.
As CEO, Tony positioned CommNett as the choice system integrator in the region for governments and the largest private sector companies and grew the organization into the largest ICT infrastructure provider in the Caribbean. Tony also led his company to twice win CISCO Value Added Reseller/System Integrator Awards for the Caribbean and Central America Region and earned the distinction as Ernst and Young Caribbean Entrepreneur of the Year finalist. After 22 years, Tony moved into the consulting field serving as an ICT advisor to the governments of Trinidad & Tobago and Bahamas, then moved on to business development consulting ending with a stint at Cable & Wireless as its Business Development Director for Trinidad & Tobago.
In 2018 Tony pursued his passion for renewable energy and earned a Solar Professional certification for International and Developing World Applications with Solar Energy International. With this training, Tony aims to assist developing nations diversify their economics with sustainable energy and reduce their reliance on finite resources.
An avid golf player, Tony squeezes in culinary adventures between rounds on the course and homework sessions with his two youngest children.
The proud father of five, Tony splits his time between the Caribbean and Atlanta, Georgia, USA with his wife, Laura.
